A few weeks ago Sage had her 12 month checkup and shots.
Sage is 23 lbs and 31 inches tall. Both around the 70th percentile. Doc said she looks good! And boy does she. How is it that both of my children can still take my breathe away?
Sage is developing her so rapidly. And it suits her GREAT. She was a challenging, for lack of a better word, baby. But this independent stuff is awesome. She is so much happier, laughing more, more playful, and her personality is coming out. Don't get me wrong, she still has her tantrums, but she is learning fast. She is definately a girl who knows exactly what it is she wants.
Sage is "talking" a lot lately. It is all a da or duh word, but her inflections make them sound discernible to a trained ear for different words. There is dad, get down (the noise while pointing down with both hands), dog, Jack, bye-bye (with waving). She can clap her hands, fold her arms for prayers, and make great cow grunts.
She is turning out to be girly, LOVING shoes, wearing things on her head, carrying purses, and giving hugs to stuffed animals. But at the same time, one of her favorite toys is the toy saw and loves to get dirty in the dirt with the dump trucks.
I'm sure madly inlove with this cute little girl!

What a doll! I love to picture her saying "Get Down" in their little way of inflecting just right :). Independence is so strong in some of these souls- it must feel like it takes a lot of patience to them to finally begin to do what they want, when they want!
Beautiful girl! Give her some smooches from her Aunt Lo! She is so darling! Julia was always happier as she got more independence (and, no, that hasn't changed). :)
Sage is so beautiful! I'm glad that she's been a little difficult and moody. She's the spice that will keep your life interesting! She is growing so fast!
