Yesterday was the Jack’s very first Primary Program.
He did AWESOME!
During his line he spoke loudly and clearly without a moments delay or stutter. “When we repent we come unto Christ.” His teacher said that during the practices he would then go off about what the line means and about missionary work. He didn’t do that during the real thing. But his line seems so minor in Jack’s performance. His true talent was singing the songs, where he just shined.
One lady said that he made all the other kids look bad. And, well, that is hard to tell, it was hard to make a comparison between Jack and the rest of the primary, because that would mean that you could actually hear the rest of the kids singing…he easily out sung the entire primary.
Jack made my heart swell. I was and am so proud of him. He knew ALL the words to ALL the songs. He was in the very front corner of the stand, not 2 feet away from where we were sitting in the front row. He turned and looked right at me and sang his little heart out. Well, sang VERY LOUDLY, pretty much yelling on the top of his lungs. It was the cutest, funniest, sweetest, heartfelt thing. And it was all for me. I couldn’t help but cry – I was so touched and trying so hard not to laugh. A couple of other people told me that he made them cry too, it was so sweet. We just sat there and smiled encouragingly, giving thumbs ups and waving back when he waved at us. Others said that we must be so proud. And we are. And he felt good about his performance too.
I love my Jack so strongly. Thank you Jack for loving me strongly back.
